Rachel and I just returned from a beautiful adventure traveling around Scotland with Jewish single professionals. Our pilot trip included singles from across North America. We explored Scottish history and culture, visited famous places, learned about Jewish Scottish history, and enjoyed the incredible scenery and whisky that only Scotland can offer.
Most importantly, we created friendships and connections that will last a lifetime.
Some of the highlights included Aberdeenshire Sheep Dog School, Braemar Highland Games Center, horseback riding at a Victorian-era Hunting Estate, Royal Lochnagar Distillery, Glencoe and the "Skyfall" Road, Neptune Stairs, Edinburgh Castle, Garnett Hill Synagogue, and Scotland Jewish Heritage Center, and three kosher catered meals every day.
Research has shown that singles are twice as likely to find love through friends and family as dating apps. Therefore, it's critical to continue to expand and develop friendship networks for Jewish singles.
We want to thank all the participants, Adam Henderson and Kosher Scotland, and all the generous supporters of Pico Shul, whose support enabled us to organize this trip.
Plans are already underway for another trip in 2025!
