Pico Shul Sukkot Celebrations – First Full Moon Days

Sukkot is the Time of Our Rejoicing

Sukkot is called “The Holiday,” says the Torah, is a joyous celebration of life, harvest and community. We sing, dance, eat and pray during this “Time of our Rejoicing.” Join Pico Shul for services, Kiddush in the Sukkah, special events and some overall good times. Prayer times and events below! Chag Sameach!

FIRST DAYS SCHEDULE:
Wednesday, October 4
6:15pm Mincha followed by Festival Maariv

Thursday, October 5
9:45am Sukkot Morning Services followed by Kiddush in the Sukkah
6:15 pm Mincha, Learning and Festival Maariv
9:00 pm Simchat Beit HashoevaTish: Drinks and Dessert at Bookstein’s Sukkah

Friday, October 6
9:45am Sukkot Morning Services followed by Kiddush in the Sukkah
6:15 pm Mincha, Learning and Kabbalat Shabbat

Saturday/Shabbat October 7
9:15 am Sukkot Learning in the Sukkah
9:45 am Sukkot Morning Services followed by Kiddush Lunch in the Sukkah
5:00 pm Learning w/ Rabbi Yonah
6:00 pm Mincha, Third Meal, Maariv & Havdallah

Lulav and Etrog
One of the most mystical parts of Sukkot are the four species that we wave every day. Each species – myrtle, willow, palm, and citron – represent many things. For example, each one represents a different kind of Jew. On Sukkot, we all come together, no matter our background or differences in order to celebrate together.
